Refund Policy

A payment is applied to the game the moment it clears — a bid lands on a city, a clan is founded, a spotlight goes live. That action is delivered digital content, and it cannot be taken back once the map has moved. Payments are therefore final.

Losing a city afterwards, being outbid, decay reducing your total, or a clan removing you are all part of the game, not faults. They are not grounds for a refund.

We refund, in full, when the payment did not buy what it should have:

• You were charged twice for the same action.
• Payment cleared but the action never applied to the game — no bid on the city, no clan created, no spotlight — and we cannot apply it retroactively.
• The charge was not made by you or anyone you authorised.
• A bug on our side made the action do something materially different from what the interface said it would.

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy, LLC, usually within 5–10 business days of approval.

If a name, manifesto, logo or spotlight label is removed under section 4 of the terms, the payment stays spent. The money bought the game action; the text was yours to choose and yours to get right.

Consumers in the EU and the UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. That right ends for digital content once delivery has begun with your consent — which is what paying for a bid is. Where your local law grants a right we cannot exclude, that law wins over this policy.

Email support@takethecity.lol within 30 days of the charge with the order reference from your receipt and what went wrong. We answer within 5 business days.

Please write to us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback on a delivered action can suspend the account and remove what it bought, and it takes months to settle — email is faster for both of us.
